Hearthside Food to expand Michigan facilities

DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — Hearthside Food Solutions L.L.C. plans to expand its facilities in Grand Rapids and Kentwood, Mich., according to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The M.E.D.C. said the expansion projects would cost approximately $17.5 million and provide additional food manufacturing capacity of granola bars and other baked snacks.
Hearthside Food Solutions is a contract food manufacturing business. The company operates 12 manufacturing plants in seven states.
In January the company announced plans to invest $3.8 million to expand it facility in Michigan City, Ind.
