IRVING, TEXAS — A little more than two years after introducing Wonder Smartwhite bread, Hostess Brands, Inc. has expanded the line with the launch of Wonder Smartwhite for Kids.

Smartwhite for Kids contains no high-fructose corn syrup, provides the same amount of fiber as 100% whole wheat bread, the calcium of an 8-oz glass of milk and has 50 calories per slice. Two slices of Smartwhite for Kids contain nine essential vitamins and minerals, including iron, vitamin D and folic acid.

The bread also has 25% less sodium than regular white bread, according to Hostess.

The packaging for Smartwhite for Kids features Wonder’s new “Nutritional Notes,” which display all the nutritional facts about the bread. Wonder Smartwhite for Kids is available in grocery stores across the country.

“Smartwhite for Kids is a great way for parents to fit more nutrition into their children’s diets while still giving them the Wonder they know and love,” said Stephanie Fletcher, brand manager for Hostess. “The bread’s Nutrition Notes make it easy for families on the go to make informed, nutritious choices for summer snack time or school lunchtime.”

They already tried "Kids Sandwich" and quit making that. Why do they think "Smartwhite" for kids is going to sell?
