YONKERS, N.Y. — William Mistretta has joined Greyston Bakery as president and chief executive officer. In addition, Mr. Mistretta has been named to the Greyston Foundation’s Executive Leadership Team.

Mr. Mistretta has more than 20 years of experience in the baking and food service industries, most recently as a director at Interstate Bakeries Corp. (now known as Hostess Brands, Inc.) since 2006. He also has held the positions of president and c.e.o. of American Baked Ingredients, a company that supplies baked ingredients to the ice cream manufacturing industry; operations manager at PepsiCo, Inc.; vice-president and general manager at George Weston; senior operations executive for a division of the U.S. operations of Compass Group P.L.C., a company specializing in providing food, vending and related services; vice-president of operations of Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel, Inc.; and senior vice-president of operations of The B. Manischewitz Co.

"I look forward to hiring even more people as we diversify our products, engage new partners and enhance our ability to grow. I am particularly excited about the Do-Goodie brownie line and the new line of gluten free products that the bakery is producing."

Mr. Mistretta received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Scranton and a master’s degree in business administration from Farleigh Dickinson University.
