Ball named 2009 Milling Operative of the Year

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. — Greg Ball, milling superintendent for King Milling Co., was named the 2009 Milling Operative of the Year at the International Association of Operative Miller’s 113th Annual Conference & Expo award banquet on April 30. The award, which has been presented by Milling & Baking News for the past 24 years, is presented annually to the practicing milling operative who has made the most significant contributions to the progress of his plant, his company and the industry from an operating point of view. Mr. Ball was recognized for a steady work ethic and intelligent, investigative knowledge of the milling process to enhance operations at his company, as well as for increasing output and extraction rates at King Milling.
