PORTLAND, ORE. — Bob’s Red Mill Natural Foods has introduced gluten-free and casein-free varieties of its two top-selling corn products: Cornmeal and Corn Grits.

"The gluten-free community has flooded us with requests for gluten-free versions of our cornmeal and corn grits," said Bob Moore, founder of Bob’s Red Mill. "Customer feedback drives the development of our new gluten-free items, and we plan to release several additional gluten-free products before the end of the year."

The Gluten Free Cornmeal is made with 100% stone ground whole grains, with each serving containing 33 grams of whole grains. It has a suggested retail price of $2.99.

The front of the product’s package reads, "Our stone ground, whole grain cornmeal makes cornbread with a superb flavor and texture. This medium grind, gluten free cornmeal also works well for breading and creates delightfully crunchy cornmeal pancakes."

According to Bob’s Red Mill, the Gluten Free Corn Grits have many of the same health benefits as cornmeal. The product has a suggested retail price of $3.49.

The front of the product’s package reads, "Corn grits are simply coarsely ground bits of degerminated corn. For breakfast, try corn grits topped with milk and honey. For lunch or dinner, they’re excellent topped with butter, cheese, marinara or gravy."

In addition to cornmeal and corn grits, Bob’s Red Mill has introduced Gluten Free Corn Flour and Gluten Free Masa Harina Corn Flour.
