PETAMULA, CALIF. — Barbara’s Bakery unveiled new packaging, products and ad campaigns at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif.

Beginning in June, the company said it will launch Barbara’s High Fiber cereal. Available in three varieties — Original, Cranberry and Flax & Granola — the cereals contain at least 40% of daily fiber needs and 50% whole grains. The High Fiber Flax & Granola variety is made with granola and contains 500 mg of the omega-3 fatty acid ALA.

In addition to the cereal launch, Barbara’s Bakery said it has redesigned all 55 packages in its product line to include a new logo, nutritional highlights, a natural looking background and gourmet photography. The new packaging, which will begin appearing as early as June, will be made from sustainable Green Choice cartons, North America’s only certified recyclable paperboard, Barbara’s Bakery said.

As one of its initiatives for 2010, Barbara’s Bakery said it has partnered with Chef Ann Cooper, also known as the “Renegade Lunch Lady,” and TheLunchBox.org to establish tools to create healthier school lunches.
