ST. LOUIS — Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. on June 25 acquired Sepp’s Gourmet Foods Ltd., a manufacturer of frozen breakfast foods for the retail and food service sectors with annual net sales of approximately $29.3 million. Sepp’s, which is based in Canada, will continue its operations in Delta, B.C., Columbia and in Richmond Hill, Ont. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Sepp’s Gourmet Foods manufactures private label frozen waffles, pancakes, french toast sticks, french toast, microwavable grilled cheese sandwiches, fruit filled pancakes and flour tortillas.


“We welcome the Sepp’s management team and employees to the Ralcorp family,” said Kevin J. Hunt, co-chief executive officer and president of Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. “Sepp’s will become a key part of our frozen bakery business and will enhance Ralcorp’s frozen bakery product offerings.”

Ralcorp has been on the acquisition trail in recent weeks, having acquired North American Baking Ltd., Georgetown, Ont., and J.T. Bakeries, Inc., Kitchener, Ont., on May 31. The company also in late June agreed to acquire Kansas City-based American Italian Pasta Co. for $1.2 billion.
