SAN JACINTO, CALIF. — Demler Enterprises, Pine Hill Egg Ranch, Demler Egg Ranch and Harmony Egg Ranch — four of California’s largest family-owned egg farms — have joined to form Southern California Egg Cooperative.

The new egg marketing cooperative was formed by five brothers within the Demler family to market the family’s eggs.

“The recent national egg recall has created a renewed interest in locally produced, fresh California eggs,” said John Demler, chairman of the new cooperative. “As most people know, many of the eggs that are sold in California come from other parts of the country, some from as far away as Iowa. It is our hope that the new cooperative will help us to market our fresh, locally-produced eggs to customers and consumers who value the quality and freshness of these eggs from locally raised hens that are given the highest standards of care.”
