NORWALK, CONN. — Pepperidge Farm, Inc. has extended its American Collection of crispy and soft baked cookies with the introduction of the new crispy Montauk cookie.

According to Pepperidge Farm, the Montauk cookie has “an abundance of creamy milk chocolate chunks baked in a golden cookie.” In addition, like all American Collection cookies, the Montauk is baked with ingredients such as real butter and natural vanilla flavor, and like the entire line contains no artificial flavors or preservatives.

“We worked closely with our bakers to seek out the finest ingredients, while improving the taste and the texture of some of our American Collection chocolate chunk and soft baked cookie varieties,” said Brian Immel, business director at Pepperidge Farm. “The names of our cookies celebrate favorite American destinations that people have loved exploring for generations, just as our Distinctive cookies line celebrates European destinations.”

In addition to Montauk, 14 other varieties are in the American Collection, including soft baked Captiva cookies, which are made with rich dark chocolate in a brownie base, and Sausalito cookies, which contain chunks of rich chocolate and macadamia nuts.

They are available at major supermarkets, grocery stores and mass merchandisers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.39.
