WORMER, THE NETHERLANDS — Cargill’s cocoa and chocolate business has appointed a specialist team to support the company’s commitment to a sustainable supply chain for cocoa and chocolate. In conjunction with colleagues in the Ivory Coast, Vietnam and other cocoa-origin countries, the team’s work will include expanding Cargill’s sustainability and farmer training programs and extending activities into other origin countries such as Cameroon, Ghana and Indonesia.

Taco Terheijden, a member of the start-up team for Cargill’s cocoa processing plant in Tema, Ghana, will head the sustainable cocoa and chocolate team. Matthieu Guemas, project manager for sustainable cocoa, and Saskia Samama, program manager for sustainable cocoa, will work alongside Mr. Terheijden.
