CHICAGO — The Retail Bakers of America, the American Bakers Association, BEMA, AIB International, The French Pastry School, The RPIA Group and Kendall College are among the education partners that will participate in a multi-layered educational program as part of All Things Baking, set for Oct. 1-4 in the Chicago area.

The program will include hour-long classroom sessions, free baking and decorating demonstrations on the show floor, interactive seminars and advanced hands-on classes. Participants may choose sessions on product development, business management and marketing, retail baking trends, ethical and eco-friendly practices, food safety, cake and cookie decorating, bread baking, and new developments in baking technology.

“Today’s consumer trends favor independent bakeries, cafes and catering companies that are agile, flexible and in tune with their customer base,” said Joe Turano, a committee member for All Things Baking and director of operations at Turano Baking Co. “All Things Baking will deliver the timely educational offerings to help our attendees make the most of the opportunities created by this trend.”

Education sessions will begin daily at 8 a.m. and will conclude before noon. One hour sessions are $10 each and demonstrations on the show floor are free. Interactive sessions and hands-on classes are $100 and $200 each, respectively. For more information visit www.AllThingsBaking.org.
