WASHINGTON — Andrew Magee will serve as the guest tournament professional during the 2012 Paul Abenante PEC Golf Tournament April 17 at the American Bakers Association’s convention in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Mr. Magee has won four PGA events and is the only person on the PGA Tour to hit a hole-in-one on a par-4 hole during a PGA event. Known for a unique sense of humor, Mr. Magee hit his left index finger with a chainsaw while cutting a limb in 1998. After placing third at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic one week later, he said of the accident, “There are better ways to weaken the grip on your left hand, don’t you think?”

“I have known Andrew for a few years now,” said Charlie Stout of Milner Milling and the A.B.A. golf tournament co-chair. “I know he will be a very entertaining addition to the tournament.”

The proceeds of the golf tournament are invested in activities such as A.B.A.’s “Rise to Action” grassroots web site, congressional directories and speakers. J&K Ingredients again will sponsor the “J&K Hole-in-One Contest.” Dennis Satyshur, head PGA professional of Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Md., will attend the A.B.A. convention. He was the 1997 Ryder Cup assistant captain.

The A.B.A. convention will take place April 14-18 at the Scottsdale Fairmont Princess.
