VEVEY, SWITZERLAND — Nestle S.A. late last month acquired L.L.C. Technocom in Ukraine, a maker of culinary dehydrated products under the Mivina brand, including instant noodles and mashed potatoes. Financial terms were not disclosed.

According to Nestle, the acquisition complements its culinary portfolio in Ukraine and boosts its presence in one of the fastest growing segments of the Ukrainian food market. Nestle said it plans to use its supply and distribution network in Europe to make Mivina products more widely available, especially in Central and Eastern Europe.

Founded in 1993, Technocom has two factory sites located in Kharkov, with 1,900 employees and sales of approximately $100 million. Its products are exported to 20 countries, including Russia, the Baltic States, Hungary, Germany, Israel, Poland and Romania.
