LAKEWOOD, COLO. — Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. has added bagel thin sandwiches — a new line of lower calorie, lower fat sandwiches — to its menu at participating Einstein Bros. Bagels and Noah’s New York Bagels locations. In addition, the company said it has joined the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation, a coalition of more than 90 of the nation’s largest retailers, non-profit organizations, food and beverage manufacturers and trade associations aimed at helping to reduce obesity. The move makes Einstein the first quick-casual restaurant concept to join the initiative, according to the company.

“Smart nutrition is a part of the Einstein Noah Restaurant Group DNA and we are leading the way with our new bagel thin sandwiches and partnership with the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation,” said Jeff O'Neill, chief executive officer, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. “While we recognize that our customers are looking for simple ways to eat better, they don’t want to sacrifice great taste. We are committed to this consumer insight as we develop new, innovative lower calorie and lower fat menu items.”

The new bagel thin sandwiches are available in three options: the Turkey-Bacon and Avocado thin, the Tuna thin, and the Turkey thin.

Bagel thins are available at participating locations for $4.29 a la carte or in a combo with chips and a regular beverage for $5.99.
