This year’s International Baking Industry Exposition (I.B.I.E.) is attracting a record number of exhibitors, and the show’s organizers are making it easier to find out what’s new on the expanded show floor.

The Innovation Showcase, a new feature at I.B.I.E. 2013, will highlight cutting-edge developments that have hit the baking industry since the last Baking Expo three years ago. The showcase will be located in a prominent area of the convention center’s lobby, allowing expo-goers to explore what’s truly new at their leisure. Exhibitors with showcase entries can also be identified by the display placards in their booths.

In many ways, this year’s I.B.I.E. is much different from the past with an expanded education program and an emphasis on products like pizza that go beyond the conventional definition of baked goods. It’s less than 100 days to the big show, which runs Oct. 6-9 in Las Vegas. Get registered now if you haven’t already.
