Chabaso Bakery, New Haven, CT, introduced a trio of handcrafted breads. The Sesame Semolina loaf, packaged in a traditional Chabaso brown paper bag with a yellow banner and a waving wheat design, has a creamy and soft inside with a crunchy sesame seed crust. Toscana, with its dark green banner label and an illustration of the Tuscany landscape on the bag, has a hearty feel with a slight tang and light sourdough taste. Completing the threesome is the Rosemary Olive Oil loaf, which comes in a brown paper bag with a light olive green banner and rosemary herbs pictured. Rosemary and rich extra virgin olive oil are mixed into the dough. The breads are available in small stores and large supermarkets along the East Coast.
