A ready-to-eat snack product is composed mainly of defatted flaxseed. The flaxseed is crushed and milled and supplemented with other cereals, plant seeds or flaxseed fractions. It is then fermented by a starter culture comprising a probiotic bacteria. Last, the snack product is seasoned and stabilized.
