OMAHA, NEB. — ConAgra Foods, Inc. is expanding its facility in Russellville, Ark., to manufacture Bertolli and P.F. Chang’s frozen meals.

“ConAgra Foods has a long history in Russellville, and we are pleased to grow our presence in the area,” said Mike Tracy, senior vice-president of consumer foods supply chain for ConAgra. “Our dedicated employees, along with the support of the city of Russellville and the state of Arkansas will allow us to make great food here for many years to come.”

The expansion represents a $100 million investment and is expected to create more than 80 jobs. ConAgra acquired the Bertolli and P.F. Chang’s Home Menu frozen meal businesses earlier this year from Unilever North America for $265 million.

The agreement included a license for the use of the Bertolli brand name on the frozen meals and the transfer of Unilever’s license with P.F. Chang’s for the use of the P.F. Chang’s Home Menu brand. The transaction did not include the Owensboro, Ky., facility where Unilever manufactured the products.
