Hostess loss nears $9.4 million in four-week period

IRVING, TEXAS — Hostess Brands, Inc. suffered a loss of $9,399,000 in the four weeks ended Aug. 25. This compared with a loss of $17,588,000 in the four weeks ended July 28. Hostess sustained a loss before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $772,000, which compared with a loss of $8,717,000 in the period ended July 28.

Net sales in the four weeks ended Aug. 25 were $181,496,000, which compared with $174,754,000 in the four weeks ended July 28.

Hostess Brands listed its total assets as of Aug. 25 at $1,045,763,000 and total liabilities at $2,542,416,000.

The results were filed Sept. 28 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Southern District of New York.

Time to sale area's you are not as strong in market share and re-group and restructure how you are doing business in area's you have strong market share. Combine your cake, bread, buns and rolls on one route and get rid of the dead weight of running two or more route trucks for DSD delivery to the same store deliveries. If not independent distributorship's OR sale out to Flowers Foods and Bimbo USA!
