New York artisan baker to receive infusion of capital

NEW YORK — Kuzari Group, L.L.C. has formed a strategic partnership with the owners of Rollo Mio Artisan Bakery to provide capital to increase production and distribution capacity for Rollo Mio’s products. Founded in 2005, Rollo Mio makes and distributes artisan bread and baked goods in the New York metro area.
Manfred Hildebrandt and his son, Stefan, founded Rollo Mio. The company’s products are sold to service hotels, restaurants, food service cafeterias, city and country clubs, schools, universities, sporting arenas and events as well as catering companies.
“We are thrilled with Kuzari’s involvement in Rollo Mio and are confident that the company is at the dawn of the next stage of its growth, based on our core values of quality products and exceptional customer service,” said Stefan Hildebrandt, president of Rollo Mio.
As part of the partnership, the Kuzari Group has brought in Christian Matthaeus to work with the existing management of Rollo Mio on product development. Mr. Matthaeus, who will be vice-president of new product development, has nearly a decade of general and financial management experience, and he is also an experienced baker, having trained at the French Culinary Institute and Orwasher’s Bakery in New York.
