Campbell completes acquisition of Plum Organics

CAMDEN, N.J. — Campbell Soup Co. has completed its acquisition of Plum Organics, an Emryville, Calif.-based maker of foods and snacks for babies, toddles and children.
Plum will be a separate business within the Campbell North America division.
"We are thrilled to welcome the ‘Plum’ brand, its people and its quality products to Campbell,” said Mark Alexander, president of Campbell North America. “Plum is generating great success in the marketplace, and we believe that Campbell’s resources will help fuel further expansion of the ‘Plum’ brand within the fast-growing premium organic food segment.”
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. For the year ended Dec. 31, Plum reported $93 million in sales.
