OKLAHOMA CITY — Members of the Midwest division of the Allied Trades of the Baking Industry recently donated $12,000 to seven employees at Bimbo Bakeries’ facility in Oklahoma City. The employees’ homes were destroyed in the tornadoes that hit Moore and Oklahoma City late last month. “We are all proud to be a part of an industry that is dedicated to the well-being of its associates,” Kerwin Brown, president of the MWATBI, wrote in a letter to Mark Drozdowski, plant manager at Bimbo’s Oklahoma City bakery. “The many people who made this donation possible gave with generosity and heartfelt wishes for those affected by the tornadoes. Hopefully these donations will help ease their hardship.”
