THOMASVILLE, GA. — Flowers Foods, Inc., through its Mrs. Freshley’s brand, has partnered with The Hershey Co., Hershey, Pa., to create two new snacks that combine Hershey flavors with Mrs. Freshley’s items. New peanut butter flavored Swiss Rolls, made with Reese’s brand peanut butter, and double chocolate Mini Donuts, made with Hershey’s cocoa, are available nationwide.

New offerings include Mrs. Freshley's Double Chocolate Mini Donuts made with Hershey's cocoa, and peanut butter-flavored Swiss Rolls made with Reese's peanut butter.

This is not the first partnership for the two companies, which came together in October 2012 to offer Kandy Bar Kakes in several varieties, including S’mores Kandy Bar Kake made with Hershey’s cocoa; Peanut Butter Kandy Bar Kake made with Reese’s peanut butter, and Peppermint Kandy Bar Kake made with York peppermint flavor.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with The Hershey Co. in bringing a new level of flavor intensity to the snack cake category,” said Brent Bradshaw, vice-president of marketing at Flowers Foods. “Mrs. Freshley’s celebrated product innovation and Hershey’s classic flavors have created crave-worthy treats perfect for any chocolate or peanut butter fan.”

The peanut butter Swiss Rolls feature Reese’s peanut butter filling with chocolate cake covered in a peanut butter-striped, chocolate-flavored coating. Mrs. Freshley’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Swiss Rolls are available in 12-oz 12-count, multi-packs and 2.8-oz two-count, single-serve packs.

New double chocolate Mini Donuts combine Mrs. Freshley’s soft cake donut with Hershey’s cocoa, smothered with a chocolate-flavored coating. The donuts are available in 11.5-oz 12-count bags and 3.3-oz six-count, single-serve packs.

“Hershey’s chocolate and Reese’s peanut butter are two iconic tastes that consumers have loved for generations,” said Ernie Savo, director of global licensing and international partner retail, The Hershey Co. “Our partnership with Flowers Foods creates another great way to give consumers these two favorite flavors in delicious snack cakes.”
