COLLEGEDALE, TENN. — McKee Foods, a privately-owned company offering snack cakes and other grain-based foods under the Little Debbie, Drake’s Cake and Sunbelt brands, said it will donate more than $1 million over the next five years in an initiative called the “Outdoor Happiness (OH!) Movement.” McKee’s donations will be used to support projects committed to people spending more time outdoors. The McKee family and its team will support one OH! Movement project in each of the 50 states until 2019.

McKee said the OH! Movement represents a long-standing tradition for the McKee family, who since 2009 already has given more than $2.8 million to support the creation and preservation of parks, greenways and other outdoor spaces.

“McKee Foods is more than just a collection of brands, it is a family-run company known for giving back to the community,” said Chris McKee, executive vice-president of marketing and sales for McKee Foods. “We want to share our passion for being outdoors with all of America.”
