CHATTANOOGA, TENN. — Charles B. Stout and Peter T. Frederick have announced a number of executive appointments made in connection with the creation in early May of Grain Craft.
Grain Craft was formed with the combination of Cereal Food Processors, Inc., Milner Milling Co. and Pendleton Flour Mills and is the third largest flour milling company in the United States.
Mr. Stout, who was chief executive officer of both Milner Milling and Pendleton, will serve as chairman and c.e.o. of Grain Craft. Mr. Stout has been in the milling industry for 32 years, and he currently serves as a board member of the Grain Foods Foundation as well as the Allied Trades of the Baking Industry. He is on the Executive Committee of the North American Millers’ Association.
Mr. Frederick has been named president of Grain Craft. Earlier, his roles at Milner and Pendleton included president, and vice-president of sales. Before joining Milner in 2004, Mr. Frederick held a number of sales positions with Cargill starting in 1986. A a board member of the Allied Trades of the Baking Industry, Mr. Frederick recently served as co-chairperson for the Executive Leadership Development Committee of the American Baker’s Association. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
Rob Noland has been named chief financial officer of Grain Craft, a position he held with Milner Milling and P.F.M. Mr. Noland began his career in 1993 with Bunge Foods. He later joined Miller Brewing Co., where he held roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and operations. Immediately prior to joining Milner Milling, Mr. Noland was controller for Southeastern Mills, Rome, Ga. Mr. Noland holds a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from West Georgia College in Carrollton, Ga.
Alan Koenig has been named chief supply chain officer for Grain Craft. Most recently Mr. Koenig was chief operating officer for Milner Milling and Pendleton. Mr. Koenig began his career with Farmers Grain Terminal in 1986. In 1996 Mr. Koenig began working with Milner Milling as director of grain and logistics. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in agriculture business from West Texas State University located in Canyon, Texas.
Kirk J. Stehr has been named vice-president of sales of Grain Craft. Earlier he was vice-president of sales and director of national accounts for Milner Milling and Pendleton. Mr. Stehr began his career in 1988 with Cargill Flour Milling/Horizon Milling and held various sales and sales management positions there. He has been involved with the E.L.D.C. at the American Bakers’ Association, the North American Millers’ Association and American Society of Baking. Mr. Stehr is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural industries.
Mark L. Dobbins has been named vice-president of sales at Grain Craft. Mr. Dobbins joined Cereal Food Processors, Inc. in 1989 as a management trainee and advanced through a progression of sales and management roles before being named executive vice-president and general sales manager of C.F.P. in 2000. Mr. Dobbins holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, graduating in 1989 from Kansas State University.
Wade Blalock has been named vice-president of operations of Grain Craft. Prior to that, Mr. Blalock was plant manager of Milner Milling in Barnesville, Ga., and most recently was director of milling for the various Milner Milling locations. He is on the Technical Committee for the I.A.O.M. and is active in the local community. Mr. Blalock was the 2007 recipient of the Milling & Baking News
Miller of the Year award.
