WASHINGTON – Irene Chang Britt, president of Pepperidge Farm, will give insights on best practices in leadership and the challenges and opportunities that she wrestles with as an industry leader when she speaks Sept. 19 at the annual E.L.D.C. Public Policy Forum in Washington.

“Irene is a respected leader in the baking industry, and the E.L.D.C. is privileged to have her share some of her experiences with our annual gathering of the industry’s next generation of leaders,” said Kelly Knowles, senior director of political affairs for the American Bakers Association and staff liaison for the A.B.A.’s Executive Leadership Development Committee (E.L.D.C.).

The Philadelphia Business Journal listed Ms. Britt in its “Women of Distinction” in 2011. NJBiz in 2008 recognized her as one the “Best 50 Women in Business.” The same year Pink magazine listed her as a “Top 15 Innovator,” and Progressive Grocer named her as one of the “Top Women in Grocery.”

Mr. Britt joined the Campbell Soup Co. as vice-president and general manager--sauces and beverages in December of 2005. She was appointed senior vice-president--global baking and snacking in April 2012 and added the role of Pepperidge Farm president in August of 2012.
