LOS ANGELES — Nate’s Food Co. is changing its brand name from Nate’s Pancakes to Nate’s Homemade. The company said it was necessary to create an umbrella brand to house category extensions as the company moves beyond its flagship pancake and waffle batter. “As the company moves closer to its retail and consumer launch, the management team felt this was the appropriate time to make the transition,” Nate’s Food Co. said. The company currently is updating its web site, packaging and marketing materials to reflect the name change. Nate’s Homemade pancake and waffle batter is a ready-to-use, pre-mixed pancake and waffle batter delivered in a pressurized can.
