WASHINGTON — Liz Claman, the anchor of the “Countdown to the Closing Bell” and “After the Bell,” daily financial programs on Fox Business Network, will speak this year during the annual meeting of the American Bakers Association.

Ms. Claman, who has been with Fox Business since October 2007, will speak during the afternoon session of the A.B.A. meeting March 30. The annual meeting will be held March 29-April 1 at the Ritz Carlton Orlando – Grande Lakes, Orlando, Fla.

Ms. Claman, who was part of a team that won a local Emmy Award for her work in local television earlier in her career, will offer her thoughts on the current economic environment at a macro level, while also sharing stories of her experiences with the nation’s most prominent business leaders.

Her presentation, “The new economy: How and when will America soar again,” will feature Ms. Claman’s insights into the “special something” that successful business leaders possess and ways for baking executives and others at the A.B.A. meeting to adopt some of their ideas.

“A.B.A. is pleased to have such an informed and well-respected anchor in the financial sector address our convention attendees,” said Robb MacKie, president and chief executive officer of the A.B.A. “This will be an opportunity to gain a unique perspective on the state of our economic environment and the lessons learned from some of our country’s greatest businessmen.”

Before joining Fox Business in 2007 Ms. Claman was an anchor at CNBC for nine years, including on the programs “Morning Call” and “Cover to Cover.”
