Aimed at providing schoolchildren with a cheerful lunchbox surprise, Bimbo has created a web hub www.lovablelunchnotes.com where consumers will be able to download free lunch notes that may be personalized with their child’s name.

HORSHAM, PA. — Bimbo Bakeries USA on Aug. 12 announced the launch of “Lovable Lunch Notes,” a back-to-school promotion for the company’s Sara Lee bread brand.

Aimed at providing schoolchildren with a cheerful lunchbox surprise, B.B.U. has created a web hub www.lovablelunchnotes.com where consumers will be able to download free lunch notes that may be personalized with their child’s name.

During the six-week campaign, consumers may visit the web site and download the customizable notes, which also feature creative illustrations, to be cut and placed in children’s lunchboxes.

The web site also features sandwich recipes and coupons for 35c off 20 oz loaves of Sara Lee bread.

“Many parents love the idea of including a personalized love note in their child's lunchbox but are crunched for time to write them every day,” said Eileen Gonthier, senior brand manager of Sara Lee Bread. “We hope parents enjoy the convenience of our customizable notes as a unique way to connect with their child and deliver a simple smile during the school day.”
