Cailler, founded in 1819, is Switzerland’s oldest remaining chocolate brand.

VEVEY, SWITZERLAND — Nestle S.A. is bringing its Swiss chocolate brand, Cailler, into the global super-premium chocolate category with Amazon as its primary retailer.

Nestle will sell Cailler chocolate in select markets in the United States, Europe and Asia. The chocolate will be available in four different variety boxes with a choice of small and large sizes and eight tablets. In November, the brand plans to introduce a fifth variety box globally.

Cailler, founded in 1819, is Switzerland’s oldest remaining chocolate brand. It is still produced at its original factory in Broc, ‘Maison Cailler,’ using milk from local farms and cocoa from the Nestle Cocoa Plan. The brand’s portfolio features artwork hand-designed by Swiss artisan Marianna Dubuis, who incorporated the Swiss art of decoupage into her silhouette-based designs.

“We’re pleased to introduce Cailler to the wider world,” said Sandra Martinez, head of Nestle’s global confectionery business. “It has all the characteristics of a super-premium product — a high quality product with a unique brand story and image. We believe it has significant global potential.”
