LAS VEGAS The Bosch Community Fund has pledged $50,000 to the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI) and Pack Expo’s Hurricane Harvey and Irma relief fund. All donations will go to American Red Cross.

“We at Bosch are very supportive of efforts to help propel the recovery, following the extensive destruction of these two hurricanes,” said Mike Mansuetti, president, Robert Bosch L.L.C. “We are grateful to PMMI for matching donations, which allows Bosch’s contribution to go even further to assist the American Red Cross’ relief efforts.”

Donations to the fund have almost reached $90,000, and PMMI said it will match funds up to $100,000. PMMI will also have donation stations set up at Pack Expo Las Vegas taking place Sept. 25-27. Funds raised through the annual Pack Gives Back event, featuring the Doobie Brothers, will also go to the campaign.

“In light of the devastating effects of both hurricanes, our industry has opened their hearts and checkbooks to aid recovery in Houston and Florida,” said Chuck Yuska, chief executive officer, PMMI. “Since announcing this year’s proceeds will go to hurricane relief, ticket sales to Pack Gives Back have soared. With such widespread damage, the need for donations is greater than ever. Our thoughts are with all those impacted by these deadly storms, including PMMI members, customers and their families.”
