IHOP rolls out omelet sandwiches
Feb. 11, 2013
GLENDALE, CALIF. – IHOP is adding Griddle Melt sandwiches to its breakfast menu.
Three varieties of the made-to-order omelet sandwich are served on sourdough bread.
The spinach, roasted pepper and cheese variety includes red peppers and onions and Provolone, Parmesan and Pepper Jack cheeses. The Western flavor has smoked ham and sautéed peppers and onions with American cheese. The ham and egg option contains Swiss and American cheeses.
“Breakfast sandwiches are the largest selling breakfast items out of the home, with more than 55 billion servings consumed each year,” said Natalia Franco, senior vice-president of marketing for IHOP. “Our culinary team has created three delicious varieties of Griddle Melts, each using the finest ingredients, and in a hearty size that requires both hands -- even for the half sandwich.”
The Griddle Melt sandwiches are available at IHOP restaurants nationwide with a suggested price of $4.99 for a half-sandwich.
