CLEVELAND — Orlando Baking Co. is adding to its frozen product line with the launch of pepperoni rolls and ciabatta dough.

The pepperoni rolls feature a blend of pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and Italian herbs, and come in 4-packs available at select stores. In line with the launch, Orlando Baking said it is rolling out a new packaging design for the rolls, along with Garlic Texas Toast, Texas Toast with Cheese and Garlic Breadsticks.

“The new packaging creates a unified, billboard effect in the freezer case and is aimed to increase brand recall,” the company said.

Also joining Orlando’s frozen roster is ciabatta dough.

“Ciabatta dough is a very special artisan dough unlike most pizza and bread doughs,” said Nick Orlando Jr., vice-president of sales and marketing. “Due to its unique characteristics, it bakes into a crisp, chewy, and airy texture that turns everyday pizza into gourmet pizza. It’s also great for making bread, rolls, calzones and breadsticks.”

The dough originally debuted exclusively at Gallucci’s Italian Foods, but is now available to food service customers and consumers also may find it at all Heinen’s locations.

Founded in Castel di Sangro, Italy in 1872, family-owned Orlando Baking Co. serves a nationwide retail and food service market from its 400+ employee bakery in Cleveland. The company makes a wide range of products for sale in grocery stores and neighborhood markets, and also creates specialty Orlando brand and private label items for large retailers, food service outlets and distributors nationwide. Orlando’s frozen products include an extensive line of ciabatta bread, garlic bread, toasts, sticks and loaves in a variety of flavors and sizes.
