BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — Top trends have inspired The Kellogg Co.'s release of more than 40 new products. The company is offering simple ingredients, on-the-go offerings and meatless meals.

In the simple ingredients category, Kellogg has released a new Kellogg’s Origins, composed of six cereals, granolas and muesli. The products contain no artificial flavors or hydrogenated oils and feature blends of ancient and traditional grains, including oats, barley, spelt, quinoa and Kamut Brand Khorasan wheat. The line also includes fruits nuts and seeds like apricots, apples, cranberries, walnuts, almonds, cashews and pumpkin seeds.

Kellogg’s new on-the-go offerings include bars and biscuits. Kellogg is offering new Special K Chewy Nut Bars that come in cranberry almond and chocolate almond flavors. The company also is introducing Nutri-Grain Breakfast Biscuits in chocolate chip and apple cinnamon varieties.

The company’s meatless meals stem from its MorningStar Farms brand. The brand is offering two veggie bowls and a meat-free breakfast sandwich. The Tuscan Greens and Beans Veggie Bowl and Spicy Black Bean Enchilada Veggie Bowl provide 14 and 15 grams of plant-based protein, respectively. The Southwest Sunrise Breakfast Sandwich provides 11 grams of protein and 190 calories.
