Flowers partners with Hershey on mini cupcake launch

The peanut butter swirly cupcakes are topped with peanut butter icing made with Reese’s brand peanut butter, and the swirly cupcakes are made with Hershey’s cocoa.

PHILADEPHIA – Snack cake brand Tastykake has launched a line of three mini cupcakes: mini peanut butter swirly, mini swirly and mini koffee kake.

The peanut butter swirly cupcakes are filled with peanut butter crème and topped with peanut butter icing made with Reese’s brand peanut butter. The swirly cupcakes with chocolate cake are made with Hershey’s cocoa topped with chocolate icing and white crème filling. The koffee kake items are crumb-covered, crème-filled coffee cake cupcakes.

Each box comes with eight packs of three mini cupcakes and costs $3.99. The box comes with a perforated tear tab that creates an opening, allowing consumers to see how many packs are inside. A serving size of three cupcakes is less than 200 calories.

Flowers Foods, Inc. owns the Tastykake brand.
