McCormick is also launching non-G.M.O. pure vanilla extract.

SPARKS, MD. — McCormick & Co. is expanding its organic and non-bioengineered offerings in the coming year. The flavor company said 80% of its Gourmet line of herbs and spices sold in the United States will be organic by 2016, and more than 70% of McCormick branded herbs, spices and extracts in the United States will be labeled non-G.M.O.

McCormick said most of its herbs and spices already contain no bioengineered ingredients, but the company will begin to label such products as part of a new quality consumer education initiative.

In conjunction with the announcement, the company said it is launching non-G.M.O. pure vanilla extract, which already has begun shipping to stores.
