NAPLES, FLA. — In the spring of 2015, the SnackWell’s brand of cookies and snacks underwent a national rebranding. Now, Back to Nature Foods Company, L.L.C., a portfolio company of Brynwood Partners VI L.P., is expanding the Snackwell’s brand into the breakfast product category with new better-for-you Biscuit Thins. The Biscuit Thins feature coffee and are available in three varieties: caramel macchiato, dark chocolate mocha and French vanilla latte.

SnackWell’s Biscuit Thins are made with 100% whole grains and are considered a good source of protein and fiber. The new Biscuit Thins also are free from high-fructose corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils. The Biscuit Thins are available in packages of four at retailers such as Stop & Shop, Wegmans, Safeway, Wal-Mart, Food Lion, Hannaford, ShopRite, PriceRite, Kroger, Publix and Target.

“We’re really excited to introduce our new Biscuit Thins, which allows us to expand into different dayparts and give consumers more opportunities to enjoy our better-for-you snacks throughout their day,” said Vincent Fantegrossi, chief executive officer of Back to Nature Foods. “We understand that our consumers lead busy lifestyles and look for smart snack options that are convenient and better-for-you, which is why our Biscuit Thins are available in a variety of flavors that they can enjoy while on-the-go.”

Founded in 1992, SnackWell’s was a pioneer in the low-fat snack category and offers better-for-you snacks, including cookies, minis and pretzels. The company was acquired by Back to Nature Foods from Mondelez Global L.L.C. in December 2013.
