COLOGNE, GERMANY — More than 1,600 exhibitors from 73 countries will showcase a variety of baked snacks at ISM, being held Jan. 28-31 in Cologne. From indulgent cookies to protein-packed bars, food companies are presenting a wide range of products at the show. 

According to research conducted by Nielsen on behalf of the Sweets Global Network, the sweets and snack market in Europe grew by 2.1% during the 52 weeks between November 2016 and November 2017, mainly due to price increases. Across the overall market, only Spain (+3.6%), Portugal (+2.2%) and Austria (+2.0%) were able to record volume increases.
