PepsiCo launches Doritos Crackers

Doritos Crackers are only available in Australia.

PURCHASE, N.Y. — Stepping outside of the chip category, Doritos, a PepsiCo brand, will now be available in a cracker format.

Released exclusively in Australia, Doritos Crackers will take on a new texture and crunch as a baked snack while still delivering the flavor consumers expect from the brand. The crackers are available in four bold varieties — Cheese Supreme, Mexicana, Texan BBQ and Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream — and target adventure-seeking millennials who crave unique flavor experiences. 

“Doritos Crackers are an exciting way to attract a new consumer base to the biscuit category in the form of millennials, who are the heartland of Doritos,” said Alison Silver, brand manager, Doritos. “The brand has a cult following with the young and hungry, and we are thrilled to be able to deliver them with an exciting new way to enjoy iconic Doritos flavors.”

The brand hopes to make the product stand out from other crackers in the category with modern packaging that appeals to a younger demographic. All varieties are now available in Australian grocery and convenience stores at a suggested retail price of AUD $3.49.
