New leader for Minot Milling

PHILADELPHIA — Tim Dodd has been named president of Philadelphia Macaroni Co.’s flour milling division, also known as Minot Milling. Based in Minot, N.D., Minot Milling refines both durum and hard red spring wheat purchased from U.S. and Canadian farmers.

Mr. Dodd is the former president of Dakota Growers Pasta Co., a publicly-traded corporation recently purchased by Post Holdings. Prior to joining Dakota Growers in 1991, he was vice-president of manufacturing for American Italian Pasta Co., where he oversaw the construction and start-up operations of this integrated plant. 

He also oversaw the construction and operations management of Noodles by Leonardo in Cando, N.D., the first integrated durum and pasta facility in the United States.

Mr. Dodd is a graduate of Kansas State University, with a bachelor’s of science degree in milling science and management.

Luke Marano Sr., chairman of Philadelphia Macaroni Co., acknowledged Mr. Dodd’s extensive experience in the milling business.

“Tim is a star of the food industry and will be a tremendous asset to our commercial milling division,” Mr. Marano said. “We are very fortunate to bring him on board.”

Mr. Dodd said he plans to concentrate on building a team “focused on improving efficiencies and lowering cost without sacrificing quality.”
