QUINCY, MASS. — Robert Bucklin, recently retired vice-chairman of North America wholesale banking for Rabobank International, has been elected to the board of directors of Bay State Milling Co.
While at Rabobank, Mr. Bucklin was responsible for the wholesale clients business and corporate communications functions. He joined Rabobank in 1993 as senior vice-president and manager of the Dallas office, advancing to chief corporate banking officer and, ultimately, vice-chairman.
He was a member of multiple management teams, including those of Rabobank’s North America wholesale and global wholesale clients international divisions, the management development committee and the audit committee. Prior to joining Rabobank, he was president and chief operating officer for First City-Dallas, and president and chief operating officer for a Sino-U.S. joint venture. He began his 39-year banking career with The First National Bank of Chicago where he was president and chief executive officer for the bank’s subsidiary in Canada.
Mr. Bucklin recently was elected chairman of Global Green USA, an affiliate of Green Cross International. He is currently a member of the board of directors for OSI Group, L.L.C. as well as the advisory board for Jacob Stern & Sons. Mr. Bucklin holds a degree in finance from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School.
