Blommer Chocolate hires c.f.o.

CHICAGO — Neal Murphy has joined Blommer Chocolate as chief financial officer.

Mr. Murphy has provided financial leadership in both public and private businesses in the manufacturing and chemical industries, most recently as vice-president and c.f.o. of CECO Environmental. He earlier was with Northern Tier Energy, Sunoco Logistics, Quaker Chemical, International Specialty Products and PQ Corp. He also has experience in executive management of global organizations, including mergers and acquisitions and joint venture partnerships.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Murphy gained international general management experience heading a European joint venture for PQ Corp. in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

“This overall experience provides Neal with a global outlook and team approach,” Blommer Chocolate said. “Neal has demonstrated throughout his career the abilities to think strategically, to develop and lead people and to enhance the overall value of an organization.”

Mr. Murphy received a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Villanova University and a master’s degree in taxation from Widener University.
