WASHINGTON — Julia Gustafson has joined the Corn Refiners Association as counsel and director, legislative affairs. She will help to lead the development of the association’s agenda and advocate priorities before Congress.
Ms. Gustafson previously held senior government relations positions with Newmont Mining Corp., based in Denver and primarily a producer of gold, and the National Mining Association, Washington. She received a bachelor of arts from the University of Georgia and a juris doctor from the University of Montana School of Law.
“We are fortunate to have Julia on our team,” said John Bode, president and chief executive officer of the Washington-based Corn Refiners Association. “Her experience in government affairs and her legal skills will be a tremendous asset to the C.R.A. as we address the many complex challenges before us.”
The C.R.A. is a trade association, representing the U.S. corn refining industry.
