Adrian Isman has been named senior head of grains and value chain platforms for Louis Dreyfus Company.
 

ROTTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — Louis Dreyfus Company B.V. (LDC) has made some major changes to its senior management on the grains and value chain platforms and juice platform, which go into effect immediately.

Adrian Isman has been named senior head of grains and value chain platforms, replacing David Ohayon, who has resigned. Mr. Isman also will retain his existing responsibilities as head of North America.

Mr. Isman joined LDC in 1985 as a trader in Argentina, where he worked for the grains, oilseeds and finance platforms until 1997. After three years as president of Marc Rich Investments, he re-joined LDC in 2001 in Brazil, where he held several roles managing energy, coffee, grains, oilseeds and cotton activities. He later moved to Singapore as region chief operating officer for Asia, before returning to Brazil in 2010 to manage the integration phase related to the acquisition of Santa Elisa Vale. He subsequently was region c.o.o. and head of the North Latin America Region, as well as senior head of the Juice and Merchandizing Platforms, before assuming his current roles leading the grains platform, the value chain platforms segment, and the North America Region.

Murilo Parada has been named head of the juice platform at a global level, in addition to his current role as head of the North Latin America Region.

The company said the changes are part of ongoing organizational plans for LDC’s platforms, based on its long-term strategy, and will further reinforce the company’s efforts as it progresses effectively toward its goals.

The company has had several changes in management recently. In June, LDC made some executive changes in leadership in its EMEA region. Mr. Ohayon relinquished his duties as head of the EMEA region and were taken on by Pedro Nonay Vela. In addition to Mr. Nonay's new role he also remained head of oilseeds of EMEA.
