Markel Food Group hires vice-president for MFG Business System

Slobodan Djukic has been named vice-president of Markel Food Group Business System.

RICHMOND, VA. — Markel Food Group has appointed Slobodan Djukic as vice-president of Markel Food Group Business System (MBS).

In this role, Mr. Djukic will lead implementation of the business system throughout the entire family of Markel Food Group companies. He brings with him 10 years of experience using and implementing the Danaher/Fortive Business System at Pacific Scientific, a tech support company.

Mr. Djukic holds a degree in economics from Arizona State University and has spent his career guiding teams through lean manufacturing, policy deployment, value stream mapping statistical process control and other process improvement efforts.

“I find Slobodan to be a uniquely engaging person with deep experience in this critical area for our continued success,” said Kenneth R. Newsome, chief executive officer of Markel Food Group. “He will work to further develop our business system and ensure that each of our companies around the world operates under the guidance of these shared values and critical processes.”
