KANSAS CITY — The 38th annual Purchasing Seminar sponsored by Sosland Publishing Co. May 31-June 2 at the Sheraton Kansas City Hotel brings together executives and managers who are involved with ingredient procurement, market analysis, risk assessment, supply chain management and corporate planning. Drawing more than 800 participants, the program features presenters and panelists covering ingredient commodity markets, meat and poultry complex, weather, energy, the economy and Washington.

Highlights from the June 1 sessions included an in-depth look at the heaviest flour coverage in years as well as analysis of a fluctuating egg market and rising almond prices.
