New U.S.D.A. web site focuses on wheat labs

WASHINGTON — The Agricultural Research Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture now has a web site that describes its four wheat quality laboratories, their accomplishments and their capabilities. It may be found at www.ars.usda.gov/research/programs/programs.htm?np_code=306&docid=22690.

The four laboratories seek to advance the quality and use of wheat grain in the United States. They are the Western Wheat Quality Laboratory in Pullman, Wash., the Hard Winter Wheat Quality Laboratory in Manhattan, Kas., the Hard Spring and Durum Wheat Quality Laboratory in Fargo, N.D., and the Soft Wheat Quality Laboratory in Wooster, Ohio.
