ABA conference tackles HR, labor issues

Having difficulty understanding the nuisances of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), aka Obamacare? Then attending the American Baker Association (ABA) HR and Labor Conference could be beneficial for you and your company.
Scheduled for July 22-24 at the Hotel Sofitel Washington, DC, Lafayette Square, the conference will cover a range of issues impacting the baking industry beyond the PPACA, which will be discussed during the morning session July 24 by Laura Graves, director, people systems at The Bama Cos., Tulsa, OK. Ms. Graves is slated to give a presentation on “Bama’s Approach to PPACA: Compliance Meets Strategy.”
Other topics include reforms to the Pension Protection Act, an update on the Obama administration’s regulatory initiatives, a review of the National Labor Relation Board’s agenda and a “State of the Baking Industry” lunch with Robb MacKie, ABA president and CEO.
Conference attendees also will to visit with key members of Congress and have the opportunity to participate in industry networking events.
