New quinoa ingredient features smooth texture benefits

MOMENCE, ILL. — FutureCeuticals used its exclusively licensed Trim technology to create QuinoaTrim for use in dietary supplements, beverages and foods. The Trim technology is a U.S. Department of Agriculture-patented process that improves the functional benefits of whole grains. It creates products with the smooth texture and mouth-feel of dairy or coconut cream without using any chemicals or enzymes.

Quinoa, an ancient grain that dates to the Andean cultures of South America, contains nine amino acids and is gluten-free. QuinoaTrim is soluble, non-bioengineered and contains no dyes or preservatives, according to Momence-based FutureCeuticals.
