New liquid extracts provide flavor, health benefits

HAIFA, ISRAEL – Efla sense, a new line of liquid extracts, have been shown to boost flavor and health benefits in such products as baked foods, beverages, confectionery items, dairy items and liquid dietary supplements, according to Frutarom BU Health, Switzerland. The line contains botanic extracts from such flowers as chamomile, elderflower and orange blossom; such leaves as peppermint, lemon balm and sage; and such fruits and seeds as fennel and rose hips.

A process preserves the flavors and aromatic properties of the ingredients during production. Globally tracked product launches containing herbal extracts increased 4% from 2013 to 2014, according to information from Innova Market Insights cited by Frutarom BU Health, Switzerland.
